Alumni Spotlight - Fred Stipkovits
Fred Stipkovits (Ultra-Tech Aerospace): My journey into aviation began at CCBC in 1996, where I majored in Aviation and earned my Commercial Pilot License, along with multi-engine and IFR ratings. CCBC laid the technical foundation and discipline that would shape the rest of my career, both in aviation and beyond.
After a 10 year Military Career culminating as the Chief of Homeland Security Operations and Intelligence with the United States Coast Guard, I returned to the aviation segment.
While I did not pursue flying as a full-time profession, I remained deeply rooted in the aviation industry, focusing on an area that is often unseen but absolutely critical: aircraft refueling operations and fuel quality control. Over the course of my career, I held leadership and technical roles with Air BP, Garsite, Skymark Refuelers, (both equipment manufacturers), and PrimeFlight Aviation Service as a Vice President of GSE Maintenance for over 60 airports, working across domestic and international markets. In these roles, I became recognized as an industry expert in aviation refueling operations and global fuel quality control, supporting safe, reliable aircraft operations around the world.
Most recently, I took the helm as President at Ultra-Tech Aerospace, a tier 1 Defense contractor manufacturing parts for over 10 different airframes including the F-35. At Ultra-Tech Aerospace I now lead the company with a focus on operational excellence, safety, and supporting the critical infrastructure that keeps aviation moving.
Throughout my career, aviation has remained the common thread, whether in the cockpit, on the ramp, or in the boardroom.I am proud to be a CCBC alumnus and grateful for the role the college played in launching a career that has allowed me to contribute meaningfully to the aviation industry on a global scale.
