CCBC Alumni Spotlight - Chris Henry Oshkosh, WI (Aviation)
Like so many of our CCBC Aviation Alumni, Chris Henry's career after CCBC has been filled with different opportunities in the field. After graduating from the CCBC Air Traffic Control program, Chris began his career working as a medical helicopter Flight Operations Manager with Stat Medevac. After 5 years, he moved on from this role to become a controller in the tower at the South Bend, Indiana airport. Today, you can find Chris in Oshkosh, WI. After working for the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Chris serves in his current role as museum director for the Aviation Museum at Oshkosh.
Chris shares that he chose CCBC "because I wanted to learn from the best. I was shocked to find out that the best was in my backyard .... when I said CCBC or the town name, people would say, 'oh, they are good!"'.
Speaking to his experience, Chris says, "I learned more than just aviation at CCBC. I learned camaraderie, teamwork, and life lessons on how to be a leader all in the walls of the aviation facility there. Many of those I went to school with are still close friends today."
