A Message from Dr. Winner, Executive Director of the CCBC Foundation

Before beginning my tenure at CCBC, I had the opportunity to attend HollyDay 2024 with my wife. Neither of us had ever attended a CCBC event and we didn’t know what to expect. We had a wonderful evening talking and socializing with so many members of the CCBC community, and every one of them had glowing things to say about my new employer!

As we got into the car to leave, my wife turned to me and said, “People really love CCBC!” I wholeheartedly agreed. We drove away excited about this new chapter in my professional journey.

The importance of that excitement cannot be overstated. Fundraising is hard work, but it’s so much more fulfilling when you believe in the mission and vision of the organization. My enthusiasm has only grown through my interactions with CCBC’s faculty and staff, our dedicated Foundation Board of Directors, and the generous individuals who invest in education and our community.

In my first six months as Executive Director, one thing has become abundantly clear: people root for CCBC. From alumni and business leaders to faculty, staff, and neighbors, there is deep, genuine pride in what this College represents. The community doesn’t just support CCBC, they believe in it, champion it, and invest in its future.

I’ve witnessed this support at events like Casino Night and Celebration Week, and in the form of gifts from local businesses and individuals supporting scholarships and workforce development.

As I continue my first year and we launch this new CCBC Foundation newsletter, I want to say thank you. Thank you to everyone who makes our mission—to empower communities through education—possible. Your generosity helps students succeed, programs grow, and dreams become reality.

The future is bright because of people like you.

Andrew Winner
